Cargills Retail is Sri Lanka’s largest and most extensive modern retailer, with over 520 outlets located across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka. The retail operation is supported by a decentralized network of 10 fresh produce collection centers, 2 central processing centers, a central distribution center, and a 24-hour distribution operation powered by a continuously maintained cold-chain.
Cargills Food City
Cargills FoodCity is Sri Lanka’s most renowned brand in the supermarket industry, providing convenience and the best prices across the country. FoodCity stores are relatively large supermarkets providing customers with a modern retailing experience, including access to high-quality, affordable fresh produce, frozen foods, meat, seafood, branded products, and a pharmacy. Selected stores are also equipped with a bakery. Recently, Cargills partnered with Lanka IOC for fuel retailing to provide added convenience to customers.
Cargills Express
Cargills Express outlets are convenience stores which provide all the essential groceries to consumers, from snacks and drinks to canned, packed and frozen foods, as well as over-the-counter medicine, and other convenience items. Selected Express stores also contain farm fresh produce. Selected Express stores operate round the clock 24/7 and 365 days, providing all day convenience to our consumers. Some Express stores are located at residential complexes, fuel stations, and highway transit points to bring added convenience to consumers.
Cargills Food Hall
Cargills Food Hall is Sri Lanka’s very first gourmet supermarket. It is the one-stop convenience shop catering to all your everyday needs and more. In addition to providing customers an exclusive range of both the finest local and imported products, Cargills Food Hall offers a pharmacy, bakery and café, salad and juice bars, an ice cream van, and even play host to a live action station where you can have your own selection of fresh meat and seafood prepared by in-store chefs. The inaugural Cargills Food Hall was opened at Colombo City Centre in 2018 and the second Food Hall was opened at Havelock City Mall in 2023.
Cargills Book City
At Cargills, we believe that books are the best companion, a source of learning, solace and adventure. That is why we inaugurated Cargills Book City, to offer a wide range of books at affordable prices, catering to all ages. The Book City has something for everyone, with books from local to international publishers and authors on a variety of categories from education to self-improvement and even hobby/leisure interests. Book City is now located at Majestic City in Colombo and at Cargills Food City in Nuwara Eliya.
