As children grow and develop, everything they learn does not necessarily have to come out of books or theory. In fact some of the best lessons for kids come from experiences, starting right from home. For instance, there are several life skills children can learn even in the kitchen.
There are so many good reasons for parents to include young children in cooking as often as possible. Doing this will help little ones develop a positive attitude to food and eating, ensures quality time between parent and child and makes for an enjoyable time strengthening their bond with each other. There’s more to little ones cooking as it even helps them develop motor skills, eye hand coordination, increases their familiarity with basic math and science, while also helping them build a sense of independence.
In light of this, Cargills introduced Kids’ Kitchen, the perfect platform for little chefs to not only develop themselves, but also to showcase their talent and be rewarded for it. The skill-building Kids’ Kitchen initiative was aimed at encouraging parents to help bring out their kids’ potential in the kitchen and help them develop several key life skills along with the added initiative of amazing prizes for participants.
To take part in Cargills Kids’ Kitchen, parents had to get their kids aged between 3-10 to prepare a delicious dish using a Cargills brand’s product and send the recipe and preparation video to Cargills. The Little Chefs participating had the freedom of choosing any product from Kotmale, Kist, Goldi, Sam’s and Cargills Magic as an ingredient in their masterpiece. While the experience of cooking itself would be a joyous one, Cargills also rewarded 10 Little Chefs with the most liked videos on all platforms.
This is yet another thoughtful initiative carried out by Cargills with the aim of helping our next generations develop important life skills, boost their potential and ensure they are well-equipped to take on whatever the future holds.
