KFC has a long tradition of quality food, a warm and inviting culture, and some of the best hospitality and catering teams the world over. 

Cargills took over the KFC franchise in 1996 and since then opened 12 outlets riding on an increasing appetite for convenient yet wholesome food. Today KFC serves over 300 hungry people a day.

KFC’s success has been the recognition of the key difference in fast food for Western and Asian markets. The KFC team has used this knowledge to develop a variety of dishes with a Sri Lankan touch. These include KFC Chicken Buriyani, Chicken Kottu and Chinese Chicken Rice, all of which are made to a special local recipe, yet include KFC Chicken made to the Colonel’s original recipe.

Cargills KFC also supports local farming and livestock industries by enabling them to supply chicken and other food items, produced to KFC’s strict international standards.

All sauces, ice creams and drinks served at any KFC outlet are also locally made, making Cargills KFC the first ever international franchise to maintain strict conformity whilst using local produce.
